Each astrological sign expresses itself and perceives the world in a certain way, meaning everyone will enjoy the many different genres of entertainment in some way. In this series of articles, an example film from different genres is presented for each astrological sign.
The plot and characters illustrate the qualities that each character would enjoy. This article is about the films for Gemini.
Twin
Gemini is the mutable air sign of the zodiac, so films for this sign must feature clever dialogue, imagination and numerous plot twists, with storylines involving ensemble casts, international settings and diverse characters. Mercury rules this sign and focuses on the pleasures of the mind, so films about different points of view and psychological development will appeal to people of this sun sign.
Comedy
Death at a Funeral (2007)
Summary from IMDB: “Chaos ensues when a man tries to uncover a dark secret about the recently deceased patriarch of a dysfunctional British family.” No culture functions as well as the British, which is able to respond to the perceived need for constant and unassailable decorum that defines British high society.
Why Gemini will love it
Gemini is a sign that loves quick wit and deception; this movie has a lot of sudden shifts and out of left field moments. The comedy is clever and even crude, which will appeal to Mercury-ruled Gemini, who wouldn’t consider anything off limits as long as the joke lands. The multiple characters, beautifully defined and oh-so funny, will be a treat for the Gemini viewer.
Drama
Forrest Gump (1994)

Starring Tom Hanks in his Oscar-winning role as Forrest, along with Robin Wright and Gary Sinese, the film is considered one of the touchstones for the different time periods the character lives through.
Why Gemini will love it
The story has numerous twists and turns and focuses on the core relationships that characterize Forrest Gump’s life: with his mother (Sally Field), childhood sweetheart (Robin Wright) and Vietnam commander, Lieutenant Dan (Gary Sinise). The journey through the historical periods from the 1950s to the 1980s will also be of interest to a Gemini viewer, who values the ability of stories to authentically capture a time period.
Action
Commencement
Starring Leonardo Di Caprio, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Elliot Page, the synopsis on IMDB reads: “A thief who steals trade secrets using dream-sharing technology is given the reverse task of putting an idea into to plant the mind of a CEO, but his tragic past could doom the project and his team to disaster.”
Why Gemini will love it
Most of the film takes place in the minds of others. Reality is distorted in a way that perfectly matches Gemini’s interest in all things mental. The sci-fi setting set in the mind is sure to keep Gemini viewers interested till the end, which is no easy task!
Children
Mr. Peabody and Sherman (2014)

Why Gemini will love it
The movie has the kind of diverse scenes that will help keep a Gemini child entertained. After all, what better way to learn about history than time travel, and who better to learn it from than a smart dog. The dialogue is quick and funny, and the action scenes are some of the best in animation. Additionally, a wide variety of characters populate the film, adding a host of different interactions that will keep a Gemini entertained.
Science fiction
The Matrix (1994)
This film, starring Keanu Reeves, was as groundbreaking upon its release as Star Wars was in 1977. The film industry literally changed because of the special effects on this film, which still hold up today. The IMDB synopsis states: “When a beautiful stranger leads computer hacker Neo into a foreboding underworld, he discovers a shocking truth: the life he knows is the elaborate deception of an evil cyber intelligence.”
Why Gemini will love it
Yet another “reality is not what it seems to be” movie where reality really isn’t what it seems to be. Human bodies provide the power source for a computer and cybernetic world, where humans spend their existence within the Matrix until their bodies cease to exist in the real world. Neo, the main character, is brought out of the Matrix and into the real world to help save the last remaining humans from eventual destruction at the hands of the cybernetic overlords. As you might guess, there are tons of twists and turns, all of which ensure a Gemini enjoys every moment of the movie.
Mystery
The Prestige (2006)
With Christian Bale, Hugh Jackman and Scarlett Johansson.
