The pendulum is a simple, but amazing spiritual tool. You can make one with string and a small stone, or buy one cut from crystal on a gold chain. Experimenting with different materials can result in stronger responses from the pendulum to your energy field, such as using silver instead of gold on the chain, or a green stone instead of a black one.
This article explains how to use a pendulum, and then how you can use it to determine the best place to live.
Preparing to use a sling
As mentioned in the introduction, you can make your own garland from string and a stone in your garden or from a garland you find on a walk. However, there are plenty of places to buy garlands online, with a wide variety of materials and designs. They are not very expensive; and if you want to delve deeply into using the tool, you can start with the one you like and then consider purchasing others based on colors and types of stones.
In general, you can use any pendulum, but specific problems work well with specific stones. Malachite is excellent for financial matters and rose quartz for matters of the heart. Chances are, if your concern falls into a certain category, certain stones will respond strongly to the type of question. You should also test whether a stone reacts strongly to you.
Test and calibrate your pendulum
If you can go to a store and test the pendulum, or if you can afford to buy several to test, you will find that some stones respond strongly to you, while others do not. Before you ask anything of the crank, you want to make sure you have a good grip on it. I recommend resting your elbow on a surface and using your non-dominant hand to hold the crank on the string or chain. Place your dominant hand under your forearm to keep your arm stable so you don’t affect the movement of the pendulum.
All you have to do for your first test is make a yes or no statement that you know is yes or no. After making the statement, wait for the pendulum to respond. It rotates clockwise or counterclockwise, or moves back and forth or back and forth. All you want to observe is the force of the movement. Test the pendulums until you find the one with the strongest response, keeping in mind that you may get a different movement with each new pendulum.
It does not matter which direction the pendulum moves to represent the truth or falsity of the statement, only that the movement is forceful. Once you know which pendulum gives you the strongest response, you’ll want to calibrate it by making a series of true statements and false statements. You also need to ask the pendulum to show you ‘maybe’, which is different from neutral, which is no action.
Finally, it is important to energetically cleanse your pendulum before using it seriously. You can buy a sage spray, place it in a glass with salt or bury it in soil (a plant pot). If you are using the salt or soil process, it is ideal to let a new garland rest in the salt and soil for 24 hours. Sage sprays work much faster and are available online.
Figuring out where we would live
Figuring out where to live depends on your mobility. Are you rich enough or do you have a skill that will allow you to live anywhere in the world? Are you limited to the country you live in for financial or personal reasons? Trying to decide which side of the room to get in college?
When considering a place to live that requires you to move, especially from one state to another or out of the country, it is best to use a physical map. If you don’t know where you want to live, but you want to consider the whole world, start by holding the pendulum over a continent and ask, “Should I live in this region?”. Keep in mind that you can get “yes” to more than one location. If you do, you can refine your search by adding, “Should I live in this region at this time in my life?” You will probably limit your choice to a single place.
To find the best spot in a region, simply work from the region to a specific country or area. If you are in the United States and Europe is the immediate region, go country by country. Once you have the land, you work by region. You can make your way to a specific city. The great thing about a sling is that it is easy to carry and can be used anywhere. When you go into town and start looking at real estate, you can go somewhere, pull out your crank and simply ask, “here?”
Without map
If you don’t have a map, you can work online or use a book with photos and information about a place. While it is possible to simply think of a place and ask about it, having a visual cue to refer to and see can increase the power of the information. Looking at photos of a location online or local government information about neighborhoods strengthens the connection between a place and the pendulum, helping you get an accurate picture of the place.
Local movements
If you can’t travel far and need to look at places near where you currently live, you can go to any location, pull out your crank and ask for a place.
Stay where you are
And always remember to ask, “Should I stay where I am?”, which can become obvious if you only get “no” answers for every place you try. It is always possible that this answer will be “yes,” indicating that a step is not what you need to do at this time in your life.
