Newly released documents suggest that top US senators have long suspected the government’s clandestine recovery of unidentified aerial phenomena (UAPs).
This suspicion is not harbored by fringe elements, but by some of the most respected names in American politics, according to reports thehill.com.
The documents show that a bipartisan group of senators, including Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) and the late Harry Reid (D-Nev.), have supported the idea that the U.S. possesses exotic crafts of unknown origin. .
Support extends across party lines, with figures like John Glenn (D-Ohio), Ted Stevens (R-Alaska) and Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) also showing interest in the topic.
The intrigue increases with the proposal of a top-secret program aimed at reverse-engineering the technology of these UAPs. The initiative, supported by Reid and Lieberman, was to establish a formal program for the scientific investigation of the recovered materials. The goal was to exploit the technology for advancements in aerospace and possibly other fields.
Despite the serious science involved and advocacy from senior officials, the proposal was ultimately shelved by the Department of Homeland Security. However, the idea has not died.
More recently, Schumer, along with other senators, introduced legislation pointing to the existence of “legacy programs” dedicated to retrieving and analyzing UAPs.
The senators’ claims prompt us to wonder what lies beyond the visible horizon.
