Numerology is the study of the spiritual meaning of numbers. Numerology assigns a number to each letter of the alphabet to derive one digit for your name. This number is your Destiny number. The total of your birthday numbers reduced to one number is your life path number. These two numbers form the basis of your personal numerology. When you combine them, you derive your Soul Purpose number.
These three numbers guide your numerology in every aspect of your life. In addition to our personal numbers, we have numbers for important events and permanent, but not permanent, numbers, such as our telephone number or license plate number. This article looks at the numerology of your wedding date.
Your wedding life path number
Your personal life path number is the sum of your date of birth reduced to one digit (unless it is a cardinal number – 11, 22, 33, 44 and 55, which should be understood as 11/2, 22/4, 33/6, 44/8 and 55/1). So your marriage life path number is the total of your wedding date reduced to one digit or the combination of main number and one digit.
In my case, I have been married twice. My first marriage took place on July 24, 1992, which is 7+24+1992, which makes a total of 2023, which is a 7, the Mystic. I was 24 years old when I got married that year. My second wedding took place on February 10, 2017, which is 2+10+2017, which is a total of 2029, which reduces to 13, and then to 4.
These dates can be further understood for each individual number associated with the month, day and year. In the first marriage the three numbers are 7, 6 and (21)/3. In the second marriage the three numbers are 2, 1, (10)/1. So all four numbers end up as 7, 6, 3 and 7 on the first wedding date and 2, 1, 1 and 4 on the second wedding date.
Now my personal numbers are 3 for my destiny number, 4 for my life path number and 7 for my soul purpose number. Without a doubt, my first marriage generated quite a bit of energy for both my Destiny Number 3 and my Soul Purpose 7. Although the marriage ultimately failed “in the real world,” it certainly led me through tremendous transformation and growth, just like Will happen when 7 is involved.
The second marriage is still going strong and the matching life path number 4 and wedding date number 4 create what I think will be a lasting connection, the ‘rest of my life’. The 2 for the month of February is an excellent number for a marriage and the 1’s promote individualism within marriage…within the container of the 4.
The total of the date (the life path number of the wedding date)
If you select a date that totals 1
Marriage will be about one energy, connected to survival, independence and maverick energy. The life path of this marriage will need to support individuality within the marriage and a strong sense of identity as a couple among other couples.
If you select a date that totals 2
Marriage will be about 2 energies, representing the partner, support partner and one-on-one connection. The life path of this marriage will be about the couple, not the individuals that make up the couple. You may find that your relationship is a role model for other married couples.
If you select a date that is 3 in total
Marriage will be about creativity, play and the daily joys and challenges of commitment. The life path of this marriage will be about what you can create as a couple and how you can stay involved in the daily routine without stagnating.
If you select a date that totals 4
The marriage will have approximately 4 energy, which prefers to settle, persevere and build together. In the traditional wedding sense, this is one of the best songs to choose for a wedding date. The life path of this marriage is about stability, family and legacy.
