The Manor House Restaurant, most haunted review

Yvette opens the episode talking about the 800 year history of The Manor House Restaurant, the dark figures featured and unexplained power cuts. The building is mentioned in the Doomsday book and was owned by the Baron of Dudley in the late 13th century.e century.

The building was sold and changed hands during the 17th centurye and 18e centuries before it was demolished in 1950. It has since been restored into the restaurant that stands there today.

Richard Felix discusses the house and the 800 years of habitation there, including the chapel that is part of the building. Many visitors have had experiences where eyewitnesses heard footsteps.

The lights of the chapel turn on and off by themselves and the figure of a man is seen at the window. The owners found a locked room while renovating and the ghost of a young girl has since been seen there. The strangest ghost in this building, however, is the one seen in the ladies’ toilets.

Phil Wyman performs his basic tests, placing his trigger objects, including a cross on a piece of paper, in one of the rooms and leaving a dictaphone on. Derek Acorah begins his walk in the chapel. He says he gets sensations of heat, feels useless and that the flames envelop him. He also senses a little girl running through the building and looking out the windows. He believes she lost her life from smoke inhalation, as did her grandmother who is there with her. Information is displayed that a fire has broken out in the 16e century.

The crew continues to a spot beneath the building where many artifacts have been found and stored. Derek signals a murder in this room, even though there has been no mention of a murder at the mansion. The body is buried outside under the patio and he was confident that if it was exhumed, they would find the remains of this person.

They venture to one of the bedrooms, where Derek notices flames and heat again, but Yvette feels very uncomfortable here, almost afraid. Reflecting the previous energies that Derek has picked up, the little girl is named Emily, and she is active in this area. Phil notes that this is a coincidence, as the staff named the little girl Emily. Derek can’t find a last name for the girl, so as always this information cannot be verified without a last name. Yvette says she can feel a burning sensation in her hand and that it is sensitive to the touch.

The team then spent the remainder of the investigation between the locked room and the attic. While in the locked room, the crew began to feel nervous, with Karl developing a headache and Stuart experiencing back pain. Derek hears noises coming from the attic, where he picks up the energy of a man with the last name Clarke. Information appears saying the Clarke family owned the property from 1713 to 1823.

The crew then splits into smaller groups. Yvette starts a séance that results in bumps on the table and the feeling of a girl dancing around the table. Karl and Stuart are in the locked room where they start shouting. Moving sounds come from the room, knocking sounds are heard and the temperature seems to drop.

Karl and Stuart say they feel quite relaxed but light-headed in the room, talking and coming out of the paneled walls. Footsteps come from outside the room, the scratching happens in response to the questions they ask. Stuart says he feels uncomfortable, like he’s being watched, but Karl is the exact opposite and feels quite calm.

Yvettes’ group moves into the chapel area, they begin to experience door rattling, and everyone feels uneasy. As they shout, the handle starts to rattle again, they hear sounds coming from the stairs on the other side of the door and sounds that sound like gravel being thrown.

My favorite part of the episode is when they go to investigate the lady’s toilet. Not only is it funny to see how they all try to squeeze into space, but they also all get the fright of their lives. As they talk, there is a hissing sound that makes them panic.

However, it’s Derek who says it’s just the air freshener going off!! They all feel a little weird when they realize it’s an automatic spray and not something malicious.

The episode opens with Derek in the locked room. He hears a few knocking noises, but not much other than that. Richard goes to the artifact room where he is convinced he saw a figure walking past the door and goes to investigate. He calls out to Stuart who says he is nowhere near the entrance and there are no other crew members around.
