Pluto – the planet associated with power, wealth, secrets, mystery, death and journeys to the underworld – continues to dance between futuristic Aquarius and traditional Capricorn in 2024. He won’t land in Aquarius until 2024 when he November 19. If so, it will remain in this sign for twenty years. Since 2008, the Transformer’s tenure in Capricorn has illuminated shadows in our global financial systems, political institutions, and relationships with authorities. But from this year onwards, it will be up to the systems-oriented genius of Aquarius to come up with innovative solutions to the ethical, economic and social problems of our time.
We got a taste of what’s to come when Pluto dipped into Aquarius from March 23 to June 11, 2023, amid breathless conversations about the possibilities and pitfalls of artificial intelligence. While some argue that AI will be a boon to humanity, others worry that it is already a threat to equality and workers’ rights. The last time Pluto transited Aquarius was from 1777 to 1797, a period that included both the French and American Revolutions. Mercury retrogrades are notorious for being times when technology, travel, and communication are a bit out of whack. But the gift of these transits is that they encourage us to review, reassess, and rework what isn’t working. Fun fact about our messenger planet: it retrogrades every year due to signs of the same element or element combination. In 2024, the fire signs – Aries, Leo and Sagittarius – are at work. August’s retrograde in Leo will actually begin in earth sign Virgo, as a holdover from this year’s retrogrades.
Mercury retrogrades in fire signs are hotter than normal and involve an influx of confusing ideas, emotions, and circumstances. During these potentially irritating periods we will get a push to refine how purposefully we use our enthusiasm, creativity and initiative. 3. Jupiter in Gemini

Jupiter, the planet of wisdom, expansion, growth, abundance and luck, has held court in green Taurus for most of 2023. From this fixed earth sign, the greater benefit has fueled desire and added opulence to issues related to money, material things. goods, sensuality and embodiment. Jupiter trades its bull horns for a slew of DMs, open tabs and buzzy projects when the bountiful planet enters chatty Gemini on May 25, 2024.
Jupiter is naturally uncomfortable in Gemini; Traditionally, this mutable air sign is called the place of its detriment. Jupiter prefers the big picture, grand ambitions and truth with a capital ‘T’. In Gemini it is distracted by shiny new ambitions, activities and relationships. When Mars, the planet of action, aggression and vitality, retrogrades, we are prompted to audit our own relationship with anger, motivation and our capacity for self-advocacy. Wherever we have oppressed, our frustration or personal power will be activated. Likewise, if we have allowed our uncontrolled irritation to run the show, this is a time to count to ten and rein it in.
Because this transition takes place in the sign of the performer, there is a heightened desire to be seen in our expressions.
