A mysterious creature has been spotted in Antarctic waters, sparking much online speculation. Some people think it’s a hoax, while others wonder if it’s a new species living in the deep ocean.
The image apparently comes from Google Earth and shows a boat with some people – perhaps scientists – near an island in Antarctica. But what catches the eye is the enormous creature that appears to be swimming next to them.
The creature looks like a giant worm with teeth, and some users have compared it to the “Alaskan Bull Worm” – a fictional monster from the SpongeBob SquarePants cartoon.
However, there are many reasons to doubt the authenticity of the image. For starters, the creature looks too cartoonish and out of place. On the other hand, there is no official confirmation or explanation from anyone on the boat.
