The planetary teacher, Saturn, is moving into Aries on May 24th, 2025, and it’s going to be in-and-out of this fiery zodiac sign until 2028! We’re in the middle of massive energy for change as Neptune moved into Aries back in March, Uranus is soon to enter Gemini in July, and Pluto is now squarely in Aquarius.

What a time to be alive! Talk about a total paradigm shift. By the time Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune have fully changed signs in less than two years, it’s likely nothing looks the same.

Pluto got us started last year, and Neptune kicked in a couple of months ago, and now it’s Saturn’s turn to have a say and take the stage.

Saturn wants you to take this seriously, and to do things right. Be smart, disciplined, ethical, and responsible – that is Saturn’s way!

Don’t forget to use the free astrology calendar so you can stay on top of Saturn!

About Saturn in Astrology

Saturn, alongside Jupiter, is considered a social planet, and spends 2 – 3 years in each sign. Saturn is the taskmaster, the disciplinarian, the teacher, and the one who forces us to learn – sometimes the hard way!

Each of us have our own Saturn lessons to learn, and your own lessons are found in the placement of Saturn in your natal chart (predominantly the zodiac sign, but also the house, and aspects it makes to other natal planets).

Lessons have to be learned for all of us collectively with transit, or moving, Saturn, and we all get impacted by whatever transit Saturn is doing. When transit Saturn changes signs, we feel this in a strong way, and everyone can be focused on whatever lessons are associated with the sign Saturn is touring.

Dubbed the Lord of Karma, Saturn lessons can be spiritual and karmic, tied to karmic baggage and spiritual wounds, as well as to childhood traumas we have to process.

About Aries in Astrology

Aries is a Fire sign, along with Leo and Sagittarius, and the Fire signs are all about action. Aries is also a Cardinal sign, along with Cancer, Libra, and Capricorn, and the Cardinal signs are the signs that take the lead.

The combo of Fire + Cardinal makes Aries the most active of all signs, and Aries doesn’t want to sit back and wait. Aries wants to jump to action! This is made even stronger by the fact that Aries is the first sign of the zodiac, so it’s the true leader of the bunch.

The natural ruling planet for Aries is Mars, the planet of energy and drive. It prompts Aries to be even more active! Mars gives Aries enthusiasm and courage and a pioneering spirit to get going.

Aries connects with the 1st house, the house of new beginnings. This is where all things begin, and we start a whole new cycle. The 1st house is also the outer self, and Aries rules the external face and identity.

The downside of all of this energy, enthusiasm, and excitement is that Aries can be impatient, impulsive, and not think things through. Aries would benefit from learning to do some homework first before taking action.

But Aries does have killer gut instincts, so it tends to work things out no matter what, even when it gets into a tight jam.

About Saturn in Aries

So, what does this mean for Saturn touring the sign of Aries?

For starters, we’re going to have to learn to use our energy, enthusiasm, and excitement wisely with Saturn in Aries. If we give in to impatience and act impulsively, Saturn will punish us…hard!

Saturn wants us to do things the right way, and for the right reasons, so acting in haste annoys Saturn to no end. Saturn won’t put up with that and will throw a giant roadblock on our path if we’re rushing without thinking or doing any advance work.

When it comes to any new beginnings, we have to take the same approach, and we need to be smart, do homework first, and make wise choices. If we rush into starting something new, Saturn will likely halt us before we ever really get it going, so we don’t end up going anywhere.

It’s imperative that we do embark on new beginnings wisely, because this is a monster period for a huge paradigm shift as Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune are all changing signs, and Pluto already has.

We’re on a whole new trajectory for our lives, and we need to make sure we’re doing it right, otherwise we may set ourselves up for major failures down the line.

Saturn is going to conjunct, or align with, Neptune in Aries on February 20th, 2026, and this occurs at 0 degrees Aries, the very first degree of the zodiac (there are 30 degrees in every zodiac sign, 360 degrees total).

Called the 0 degrees Aries Point, this is powerful energy! And it can kick the paradigm shift into high gear.

Saturn and Neptune have been dancing together for a few years now, but were in Pisces for most of it, which is quiet and subdued. Aries is loud and active, so this conjunction can stimulate a big new beginning, new shift, new focus, and new collective movement.

We can feel a push to create something real and tangible, to take something that has been intangible, an idea, a plan, a thought, a hope, a dream, and make it something you can see and touch.

We can see the start of something amazing, but we have to be smart and responsible and ethical about it, otherwise that something amazing could be amazingly bad!

On a personal level, assess for yourself what you want to make real, something you’ve held on for some time and can feel the motivation to take the initiative now. Do your research, and take aligned action.

Saturn in Aries for the Zodiac Signs

Aries

Saturn in Aries brings Saturn to your sign, Aries, and Saturn stays with you for almost three years. Traditionally, Saturn touring your zodiac sign brings the weight of Saturn on your shoulders.

This is not a time for you to be silly and whimsical, carefree and impulsive. Saturn won’t allow that to be the case, and if you don’t do what Saturn wants, there can be punishments to deal with as Saturn tries to teach you a lesson.

This is a time to assess what you’ve been doing in your life so far, what you’ve done right, and what you haven’t. Anything you’ve been doing right can see great rewards and progress, and this can sustain you and last for years to come.

But anything you haven’t done right? That can completely fall apart, and you have to be honest with yourself about where you went wrong with it.

Acknowledge any irresponsibility, or less-than-pure motivations. Then get to work immediately to change this, and do things the right way and for the right reasons. This can be difficult, but eventually, if you see it through, you can come out of the other side in a better place in your life.

No matter what, you can take on more responsibilities with Saturn in your sign, so make sure you’re handling them with care, and giving yourself the grace to not get crushed by them.

Also keep in mind that Saturn in your sign might stir up some physical challenges. Since Saturn restricts, this might mean less freedom of movement in some way, and this can come as a result of stress and being overburdened, so try to take care of yourself.

Potential Lessons With Saturn in Aries for Aries:

  • Assess what you’re doing right and wrong
  • Acknowledge where you’ve gone wrong and work to change this for the better
  • Do things the right way and for the right reasons
  • Take care of responsibilities without crushing you
  • Take care of yourself

Taurus

Saturn in Aries may bring a quiet period for you, Taurus. It’s not a loud period, and instead it’s one full of quiet contemplation, introspection and reflection, and assessments of the past.

You may dig into your subconscious mind, spend more time analyzing your baggage and lingering issues, and dissect past traumas that still impact you. This is serious, and it can be a heavy time emotionally, but ultimately, proves to be highly beneficial.

You can gain understanding of the past, insights into situations, relationships, and yourself, and this helps you to mature and grow in new ways. It allows you to get to a point where you’re comfortable with what has come to pass and ready to move on and let go, no longer needing to hold on.

Take this opportunity to really understand yourself and your life better, and what motivates you going forward. This can be a great chance for you to progress emotionally, spiritually, subconsciously, and intuitively.

If you’re someone who is prone to getting in your own way, this period can highlight that tendency, and force you to confront it. You can figure out where this comes from, what triggers it, and what to do differently. This can be uncomfortable at first, but empowering over time.

As you understand yourself better, let go, mature, and evolve during this period, you may also strive to have better boundaries, and a doormat status can get tossed as you become more comfortable with yourself.

Potential Lessons With Saturn in Aries for Taurus:

  • Insights into the past, baggage, and trauma
  • Learning to let go
  • Understand yourself better
  • Make quiet progress internally
  • How to get out of your own way
  • How to have good boundaries

Gemini

Saturn in Aries can direct your attention to your hopes and dreams, Gemini, but this can go either way. You may feel more focused on it because you want to turn a hope and dream into something tangible, and you can see how to make this possible.

When this is the case, there can be extra work on the path to achieving what you want, but ultimately, you can get there if you stick with it, do things the right way, and your motivations are pure.

But some of you may question your dreams altogether, and feel that they just aren’t feasible or practical, and you should walk away and give them up. This isn’t usually the case though, and you’re giving in to pessimism.

If you’re feeling disappointed or like giving up, ask yourself where that’s coming from. If the dream truly doesn’t resonate with you anymore, it’s okay to let it go, but if it’s something that lights you up, then try to get to the heart of the pessimism.

This period can also be one where you have to work on issues that have blocked your independence, or have kept you from truly connecting with others, or that have made you resistant to change.

Potential Lessons With Saturn in Aries for Gemini:

  • How to take the right approach with your dream
  • Understanding which dreams you’re invested in and which you aren’t
  • How to be more independent
  • How to make and keep healthy friendships
  • How to embrace change

Cancer

Saturn in Aries has the potential to be one of the greatest periods of your life for your goals and ambitions, Cancer. Aries is the height of the zodiac for you, and this means you have the opportunity to reach great heights in your life.

If you’ve had a goal you’ve worked on for years, have done right by, been smart with, and are truly passionate about, you have the potential to achieve that goal very soon. Success can be sweet, and it can be long-lasting.

You can connect with people in high places who can help you advance even further, and you can see the fruits of your labor ripen. Progress can come early in this transit, and you might see major advancements this year.

On the other hand, if you’ve been wandering aimlessly without a goal or plan, or if you haven’t taken the right approach, been ethical and responsible, or had a heartfelt connection, this can be a time of setbacks, delays, or outright failure.

This doesn’t have to stick though, and you can turn things around if you quickly address what you haven’t been doing right and work to change that. Saturn will require you to continue down that road of doing things right, but once you show you can, there is a chance to hit new heights as this transit ends.

Potential Lessons With Saturn in Aries for Cancer:

  • What you’re doing right and how to make more progress with it
  • What you’re doing wrong and how to get back on track
  • The best way to advance and make connections
  • How to make success last

Leo

Saturn in Aries gets Saturn out of Pisces, and this means the end of a challenging period for you, Leo. The last few years have likely come with a lot of serious matters and having to face things you’d rather not, but Saturn in Aries is a whole different story.

This can be a lighter period for you, not just compared to the last few years, but also just compared to everyone else. Your seriousness can be directed toward your beliefs most, and you can focus on making sure the beliefs you have still resonate with you.

You can also take new experiences more seriously, and want to explore options to have new experiences you can learn from. You may feel like more of a student of life during this period, and absorb lots of new lessons from new ventures.

Generally, you may be less likely to travel, learn, teach, write, or speak, unless you can do so to make progress with a goal. You want your experiences to have meaning, in every way possible, and have less patience for the superficial.

You can be more realistic during this period, and keep your optimism in check. You may want to work on balancing the two so neither is overtaking the other, and if you can achieve this balance, it can become a great asset.

Potential Lessons With Saturn in Aries for Leo:

  • Which beliefs you connect with most and what resonates with you now
  • How to learn as much as you can from new experiences
  • Which experiences have the most meaning for you
  • How to balance being optimistic with being realistic
  • How to connect with the big picture in productive ways

Virgo

Saturn in Aries puts Saturn in one of the more challenging positions for you, Virgo. This period can trigger some of your deepest, darkest fears, your inner demons, and the baggage you’ve shoved down as deep as possible to run away from.

That makes this period a difficult one for you, but only if you continue to run from the baggage and avoid facing your fears and demons. We all have this within us, so that doesn’t make you different, but you can be different by facing it.

Take the time to dig deep within yourself. Get into the darkest and deepest crevices of your psyche, and let in the light to expose what’s been pushed into the deafening darkness.

Once there is light, you can carefully examine what’s in front of you, and you may find that it’s not as bad as you thought it would be. This can be a relief, and you can quickly work to take action and find a resolution.

But even if you find it is as bad, or even worse, than what you thought, there is an incredible opportunity for you to fully understand yourself and let go. This can be more empowering than you realize, and you can transform like the phoenix if you allow yourself to.

Potential Lessons With Saturn in Aries for Virgo:

  • Getting a full understanding of your greatest fears and inner demons so you can release
  • What you’ve hidden away for too long and how light and problem-solving can free you from it
  • How to empower yourself
  • How to transform in ways that allow you to come back from defeat, failure, or heartbreak

Libra

Saturn in Aries highlights your relationships, connections, and commitments, Libra. This can be a period where you’re giving a lot more attention to how well you connect with others, which connections can be nurtured and grown, and which connections are on life support.

You may become aware of how you’ve been used by someone in your life, taken advantage of for too long, and have kind of had your head in the sand. Reality sets in, and this can be surprising to realize, and might lead to the relationship coming to an end.

It isn’t that Saturn wants you to be alone, but rather that Saturn wants you to prioritize healthy relationships. You doing all of the work isn’t healthy, and it’s only been a drain on you, so Saturn steps in and demands a change.

In some cases, you may already be aware that the relationship is a problem, and can feel ready to walk away. You understand you’ve already tried as best as you could, and there’s no point in hanging on much longer.

In stark contrast, relationships that are already healthy and good for you can be strengthened, and this can be a period of taking the next step. If dating, you may move in together or get engaged; if married, you may have a child; if already long together, you may get re-married, have a second honeymoon, or have some other fun, thrilling experience together.

Potential Lessons with Saturn in Aries for Libra:

  • Which relationships aren’t working and need more help
  • Which relationships aren’t working and need to be let go of
  • Which relationships are going well and can be strengthened
  • Removing blocks to commitment of all kinds
  • Being better balanced and at peace

Scorpio

Saturn in Aries puts Saturn in the area governing your job, work environment, and projects, Scorpio, so you may begin to focus on pursuing work that you’re passionate about and invested in.

If you don’t like what you do, this can be a period where you finally walk away; or if you do like what you do but not where, you can try to change that. If you do love what you do and the conditions around it, and you do good work, you can see great rewards.

The demand for being passionate about life extends beyond your work and into your daily life as well. Saturn wants you to have meaning in each day, and without that, you may feel restless, aimless, stuck, or frustrated.

It might be achieved in small ways, so you don’t necessarily have to embark on big projects if you don’t feel called to. In fact, this area being lit up prefers small projects and tasks, and that can help you steer your life.

One thing to keep in mind during this period is that any little thing can impact your health, but particularly stress or not addressing routine care. Stay on top of your checkups, take your vitamins, and have healthy outlets for the daily stressors of life.

Potential Lessons With Saturn in Aries for Scorpio:

  • How to be invested in the little things each day
  • Whether or not you need to look for new work that invigorates you
  • Handling the small stuff
  • Stress management
  • Routine, daily health care

Sagittarius

Saturn in Aries brings emphasis on your heart center, Sagittarius, and you can become more aware of what connects with your heart and brings you joy, and what drains your heart and sucks the life out of you.

Love relationships can have a direct impact, and you can assess which are going well and which aren’t. Those that are going well, you can become more committed to, and can take that love seriously.

Those that aren’t going well may demand some effort from both of you, and it requires you to both do the right thing, whatever that may be. If one or both of you isn’t willing, then this relationship can come to an end.

Having a healthy connection to love in general is more important for you during this period, and you can figure out what exactly that means for you. What do you need from love, and what is best for you?

When it comes to what you love, you may not have as much time for your hobbies or creative projects, and it can be difficult to get inspired when you need to. Try to get to the root of the problem, and find a healthy way to balance the mundane with imagination.

Potential Lessons With Saturn in Aries for Sagittarius:

  • Which love relationships are going well and can benefit from stronger commitment
  • Which love relationships need some work, or need you to walk away
  • How to connect to your heart, bring joy into your life in healthy ways, and be productive with creativity
  • What love looks like for you

Capricorn

Saturn in Aries makes your home and family life more important for you, Capricorn, and you need to have a home environment and family connections that are stable, secure, and healthy for you. If they’re not, you may feel emotionally unsettled.

Old issues with your family can get dug up, and you have to work on coming to a resolution, letting it go, or finding some other way to deal with it. This can help you center yourself emotionally.

The definition of home and family can be different for everyone, and your definition can change during this period. A healthy home and family can be the top priority for you now.

Saturn in Aries also puts Saturn at the bottom of your chart, so a strong, secure foundation becomes more important for you. There can be issues you address at your core, and you have to get a better understanding of yourself.

This can require you to take better care of what you need emotionally, and you can become more aware of how to meet your emotional needs, and what exactly your emotional needs are. As you do, you can feel confident enough to work on building something that can sustain you for the next one or two decades.

Potential Lessons With Saturn in Aries for Capricorn:

  • How to create a healthy home environment and family
  • What home and family mean to you
  • How to strengthen yourself internally and the foundation of your life
  • What you need for emotional stability and security

Aquarius

Saturn in Aries can give you greater mental discipline and focus, Aquarius. You can sort through ideas, finalize plans, gather information, talk things over, and get clear on which ideas you want to pursue.

If you lack confidence in your ideas and plans, you may struggle more and feel you lack options for doing anything with them. You may want to get to the root of that lack of confidence and tackle issues impacting your ability to express yourself openly.

Communication issues can also be addressed, and you may seem quieter than usual as you work through them. You don’t feel the need to be as vocal in general though, and can keep more of your opinions to yourself.

This can be a good period to develop mental discipline, and you can work to have better focus as well. This can prove to be an asset in many ways, and you can make more progress with ideas and plans in a tangible way.

One thing to watch out for is a tendency toward being overly pessimistic, especially if you already lean that way. Saturn wants you to face reality, but you don’t want to let it squash your optimism, so try to balance this.

Potential Lessons With Saturn in Aries for Aquarius:

  • Which ideas to focus on and plans to finish
  • How to be more confident in your ideas
  • How to express yourself more openly
  • How to improve communication
  • How to have greater mental discipline

Pisces

Saturn in Aries brings Saturn out of your sign, and that can be a welcome change for you, Pisces. The last few years have seen Saturn, as well as your ruler, Neptune, touring your sign, and this has likely made you feel a lot of pressure and exposed a lot of murky areas you’ve had to address.

If you were smart, you’ve learned a lot of lessons, and this period can be one where things slow down so you can catch your breath and get better grounded. This can lead to more growth, stability, and quiet confidence.

If you didn’t learn your lessons, you may feel stuck during this period, and life can feel a bit chaotic at times. Give yourself some grace, and work at learning as quickly as possible and taking one tiny step at a time.

If you struggle with your values and don’t feel they resonate with you anymore, you may take time to figure out what actually does align with you at this point in your life. Having solid values can go a long way toward helping you feel more confident, and this can improve your self-worth.

This period can also impact you financially, and you may want to be more careful with financial plans and spending. Be smart, and gather any information you need to make better choices and create more abundance for yourself.

Potential Lessons With Saturn in Aries for Pisces:

  • How to slow down and get grounded
  • How to improve stability and security
  • Whether your values align with you anymore, and if not, what does
  • How to have better self-worth
  • Tackling issues with finances or resources
