Cleromancy literally means ‘Divination by lots’. It is an age-old practice that may have served a unique purpose: predicting the future through divine intervention. Since the dawn of time and the advent of life, humanity has always been intrigued by the questions of tomorrow. The future is of enormous importance and that is why the concept of Cleromancy was introduced. Lottery refers to throwing small objects such as bones, pebbles, sticks and even colored crystals. Today, cleromancy has evolved into the art of divination with dice.

History of Cleromancy

Since the art of divination is an ancient practice, it has been developed and experienced by many civilizations. The first evidence of Cleromancy dates back to ancient Egypt and China. In the time of Rome it was associated with the god Mercury. Who is also considered the patron saint of Cleromancy.

The Chinese System of Cleromancy

In ancient China, the system for Cleromancy was called Chiao-pai. It is still practiced today. The process is simple and can be performed by anyone. It involves throwing two bent bamboo sticks. When they throw away the bamboo sticks with the flat side facing up, the answer to consider is negative. Likewise, if the throwing results in the curved sides of both bamboo sticks turning upward, then the answer is positive.

Pessomancy: Throwing small stones for Cleromancy

Pessomancy is Cleary Cleromancy, but it uses small pebbles or pebbles. The use of pebbles indicates the ancient origins of Cleromancy. It is practiced in many forms all over the world. In Africa, to this day, doctors still keep a set of stones called ‘wise stones’ which are used to predict the future of a given situation. Similarly, pessomancy is also practiced in Arabic culture. The Arabs turned the pebbles/small stones into piles and then read omens from them when a stone was randomly pulled from it.

The selection criterion for pebbles and stones is quite simple. The stones should be quite large and approximately equal to each other. They should be smooth and not too rough.

Practicing pessomancy

This form of Cleromancy is still practiced today, and one can certainly use it to predict the future and reveal the will of God in their decisions. First you need to collect thirteen stones of light color, preferably white. Thirteen more black stones or another dark colored stone. Then the stones should be sorted and have the same size and shape and a smooth surface. The next step you need to follow is to place all the stones in a bowl or open jar. The bowl should be shaken thoroughly so that the stones are mixed and the chance of randomness increases. Now is the time to prepare your questions. The questions should not be general but specific.

Open questions

Open questions cannot be asked either; the question must have a yes/no answer. You will have to repeat the question two to three times and then, when the time is right, close your eyes, reach into the bowl and grab a handful of stones. After you have your hand full of small pebbles, you need to place them on a surface. When the stones are placed, you should open your eyes and observe the number of black and white stones. If there are more white stones than the black stones, then the answer to the question you asked is positive and yes. While in the opposite case, when there are more black stones than white stones, the answer to your question is a surprising no.

The workings of Cleromancy

Practicing Cleromancy is not a confusing task; here are some steps you need to take to experience this art of fortune telling. Modern Cleromancy is dice-based, so you need dice to complete this process. Here are some steps to follow:

Activate the dice

Before consulting a dice, the art of Cleromancy believes in divine power and activating the dice to make the results more accurate and involve the will of God. Therefore, the dice to be used should be left under the sun during the day and under the moon at night. It should also be washed with plenty of water to eliminate any extra energy lingering on it.

Focusing on the question

This is an important step and should be carefully considered. Since the answer lies in what we are going through this entire process, the question needs to be thought through carefully.

Shake the dice and roll the answers

After completing the above two steps, here’s what I need to do: I shake the dice seven times and throw it on the surface or table. The outcome of each number on the face of the die can be interpreted as follows:

A

One is for victory and success. Your plans will succeed and you will have hope for more success.

Two

This is a good sign if you have a business problem. You’ll get all the support you need for your next financial venture, and your investment will go well

Three

This is a sign for professional success, you have reached a new high and your journey to a better economic condition now begins.

Five

Five stands for respect, integrity and recognition in your field. People will now count on you and look up to you.

Six

Don’t worry, your investments will bring you a good profit with large margins, allowing you to make the most of your business project.

It is obvious to note how Cleromancy can be so effective in our daily lives and also be a sign and revelation of the divine. The art of divination is all about making the right choices. Through the practice of Cleromancy we can achieve anything and have a secure and happy future.
