A leading Harvard astrophysicist has opened up to “hints” from officials suggesting there is “something out there”.
Avi Loeb joined Patrick Christys GB News to preview the House Oversight Committee’s classified briefing on UFOs.
Asked by the GB News presenter about reports suggesting the government has knowledge of recovered UFOs, Loeb admitted there is no “direct evidence”.
However, he suggested that those in higher positions have indicated that such a theory is not “completely wrong”.
“I haven’t seen any direct evidence,” he said. “But I was visited by some people from Washington DC. One of them happened to be a high-level official.
“I asked him if there is any truth in the possibility that some commercial entities have material that the government has made available to them to study.
‘I expected him to say it was complete nonsense, but actually he suggested it might not be. There are hints from people suggesting that there might be something there.
“I haven’t seen anything, but a lot of credible people are talking about it. So we’ll just have to wait.”
Conspiracy theories about the whereabouts or existence of alien life forms have long circulated, and Loeb thinks the US government may be aware of more than it is letting on.
“The government is monitoring the skies for national security purposes,” he said.
“While scientists, astronomers for example, look at small parts of the sky for very distant light sources.
“If something flies overhead, astronomers ignore it. If there is something there, it is the government that notices it first.”
A popular theory is that a secret government facility is holding alien spacecraft and life forms at Area 51 in the Mojave Desert.
Although the top secret base is the subject of much debate, it is rarely referred to by senior officials in the public sphere.
