If you’re a fan of the paranormal, you probably know who Dan Aykroyd is. He is not only a famous actor and comedian, but also a passionate researcher and advocate of the unexplained.
Dan has written and starred in films such as Ghostbusters, Coneheads and Spies Like Us, all of which contain elements of the supernatural and otherworldly.
But did you know that Aykroyd himself has had a personal experience with a UFO? In fact, he claims that he saw one up close and personal, just 50 feet away from him, in broad daylight, in the middle of a city.
The incident happened in Montreal, Canada, where Aykroyd was staying at a hotel with a friend. He was working on a script for a movie when he decided to take a break and look out the window.
What he saw next was something he would never forget.
He described it as a “large gray object, 30 meters long, 15 meters high, with what appears to be a bunch of grapes underneath.” It hovered silently in the air, with no visible means of propulsion or wings. It seemed to be aware of his presence as it slowly turned towards him and his friend.
They stared at it in awe and disbelief for about a minute and a half, trying to understand what they were seeing. The object then moved away and drifted into the St. Lawrence River before disappearing from view.
“The most spectacular one I saw was about 50 feet away from me and on the 23rd floor of a hotel in Montreal,” he said. “We looked out the window and there was a big gray object, 100 feet long and 50 feet high, with what looked like a bunch of grapes underneath, you know?”
“It just sat there, and we got a good look at it for about a minute and a half, and then it turned slowly, without a sound, and floated away.”
“We ran into the hall and saw him floating into the St. Lawrence River.”
Aykroyd was stunned by the encounter. He said it was not a plane he had ever seen or heard of. He was convinced it was an alien craft, or at least something not made by humans.
He said he had no idea who or what was operating it, or what their intentions were. He said he felt no fear or threat from the object, but rather a sense of curiosity and wonder.
“Whether it was occupied or not, who operated it, I don’t know, I can’t say. But I know what I saw and I know I had a witness with me, and I know it was a vivid, vivid sighting.”
Dan said he had never seen anything like it before or since, and that it was one of the most vivid and memorable experiences of his life.
Aykroyd’s UFO encounter is one of the most intriguing and credible cases in ufology. It’s rare to see an unidentified flying object so close and clearly, especially by someone well known and respected in the public eye.
