The objects identified as alien mummies were made of paper, modern glue, metal and the bones of humans, birds, dogs and other animals, forensic experts from the Peruvian Public Prosecution Service said.
They were seized by Peruvian customs last year when they tried to bring them to Mexico, reports said Associated press.
The results of the study refute some people’s claims that these objects were taken from an alien center or came to Earth from another planet, “all of which are completely false,” explains forensic archaeologist Flavio Estrada, who conducted the analysis led.
In September, a group of enthusiasts in Mexico showed the Mexican Congress two objects they called “alien corpses.” Previously, the group’s leader, journalist Jaime Maussan, spread “information” about UFOs, which was subsequently refuted.
This time he showed bodies in wooden boxes under glass: the mummified ‘aliens’ had no teeth, but three fingers.
According to Maussan, the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) discovered through radiocarbon dating that the “bodies” are more than a thousand years old.
“We don’t know if they are aliens or not, but they were intelligent and lived with us,” Mossan emphasized, clarifying that the bodies were found in Peru.
UNAM denied the ufologist’s claims about the university’s findings. Many details about the mummified bodies of “aliens” found in Peru and previously presented to the Mexican Congress are baseless, says Julieta Fierro, a researcher at the Institute of Astronomy.
In 2017, Mossan already presented several mummies discovered in Peru’s Nazca Desert and called them aliens. It later turned out that the remains were of human origin: they were mummies of children.
They had elongated skulls, but scientists explained that this was the result of artificial deformation, in which the children’s heads were tied with planks, cloth or rope. It is believed that this happened for a religious ritual.
