The Pentagon’s UFO Research Bureau, led by Dr. Sean Kirkpatrick, has unveiled a new crash-retrieval program that focuses on unidentified aerial phenomena (UAP), including potential ‘alien technology’, reports dailymail.co.uk.
Dr. Kirkpatrick, formerly with the CIA, shared these details in a recent interview, describing protocols for recovering objects ranging from drones to suspected alien craft.
Dr. James Lacatski, a former Defense Intelligence Agency analyst, added a shocking claim in his 2023 book, Inside the US Government Covert UFO Program: Initial Revelations.
According to Lacatski, the US had a mysterious, intact craft, which he said had no traditional engines or control surfaces.
This information was also shared with former Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid. Lacatski co-authored the book with George Knapp, a veteran journalist, and Dr. Colm Kelleher, a biochemist who worked within the Advanced Aerospace Weapon System Applications Program (AAWSAP).
In early 2023, Dr. Kirkpatrick meetings to formalize a response and recovery program under the All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO), according to documents released through the Freedom of Information Act.
The goal was to develop clear procedures for handling and analyzing UAP materials, including establishing “receipt points” for recovered items. Kirkpatrick acknowledged that while the U.S. military has had crash recovery programs for decades — typically focused on foreign technology — new policies are needed for UAP incidents.
Gen. Glen D. VanHerck, commander of U.S. Northern Command and NORAD, has expressed strong support for increased resources to address national security risks posed by unexplained air incursions, including recent “drone swarms” near military installations.
This program marks the first official recognition of a dedicated UAP recovery effort, bridging long-standing security protocols with the unprecedented challenges posed by UAPs.
