Psychic energy is part of our daily lives. We send out our own psychic field and we encounter and interact with the psychic fields of others. We both gain and lose energy in our interactions, depending on the nature of our psychic field and the fields of those around us.
In our modern and densely populated world, constant interaction is or was normal. The advent of COVID19 and its aggressive spread across the world have dramatically changed social norms. The change is likely to continue and some changes will become permanent. This article looks at the psychic impact of social distancing as a shift in the psychic energy of individuals, communities and the planet.
The personal psychic field (your aura)
We all emit psychic energy and some practitioners can see the energy field around us and refer to it as our aura. Auras have different colors to match the different energies that flow through our body. Our auditory field is both consistent and flexible. If you don’t have the talent to see your auditory field, there is special photography that can capture the psychic field you emit.
If you have your aura photo taken regularly, such as once a year, you will likely notice consistent color from year to year, as well as variations that may reflect changes or pressure on your auric field at the time of photography. My partner had her photographed annually and her colors were consistently blue, after which she became pregnant. Her hearing field changed dramatically during pregnancy, and then again and permanently after the birth of our daughter.
This example is fundamental when thinking about social interaction and psychic energy. My partner had an emerging psychic being within her, sharing the psychic field. When our daughter was born, the fields became clearer and our family shared three psychic fields. The arrival of our daughter changed the psychological dynamic between my partner and me.
Psychic field interactions (socializing)
The psychic fields of the family are among the most powerful; romantic interaction is often just as intense, but in a markedly different way. In addition to the psychic energy that mixes with family and romantic partners, we encounter energy of varying levels of intensity in our daily activities. As we look at the energy patterns in our lives, we may notice that we prefer to shop in certain stores or walk through certain parks because we appreciate the psychic energy of the people in those places.
The reverse is also true. Some interactions and places cause psychological distress and discomfort. This psychological distress harms us when we cannot avoid the disturbing people and places for some reason, such as a family member or a job that you cannot easily quit. The hardest part of all is an abrupt disruption to our routine, even if we routinely experience mental health problems. On the whole, people prefer psychic consistency to almost any other form of psychic experience.
Social distancing
The new social change in the way we interact with other people has been a sudden and shocking change, requiring us to adjust our psychological patterns and feel deep shifts in our individual auditory fields. Whether we can easily socially distance ourselves or not, practically speaking, we are well aware of the need for social distance, which has a strong influence on our psychic field. In fact, social distancing makes us aware of social closeness and what that means in each of our lives.
The personal and global psychic DNA is being rewritten by the pandemic and our efforts to weather it with the choices we make individually and the decisions of government leaders. Such a comprehensive change in our physical movement and daily patterns is extremely difficult for our psychic fields, which rely heavily on consistency and predictability. The longer social distancing and the unpredictability of the virus’s spread lasts, the harder our psychic fields have to work to maintain integrity.
Dealing with social distancing
We are social by design to fulfill a spiritual contract to learn about all other people on the planet interacting with us. We are now so acutely aware of ‘the other’ that proximity and what that means is now an issue for everyone. A new normal is coming, but we as a whole are still in the transition phase from the 2019 norm to the new 2021 norms. This year is the shaky, shaking bridge between the two.
In order to keep our psychic fields intact and knowing that much of the integrity of our psychic fields depends on social interaction, it is important to have new social strategies to bridge the distance in alternative ways. Technology offers many tools for social interaction that can be used extensively. Some form of video chat and the tried and true phone call, used regularly, can help alleviate the pressure of physical social distancing. Regular texting and emailing also helps.
Meeting others under social distancing guidelines, as strange as it may seem now, to sit a certain distance apart, wearing a face mask or face covering, is another important way to keep our psychic energy connected to important people in our lives. One adaptation we can expect is an attempt to extend our psychic fields over a greater distance to make the psychic contact we need and want.
A new normal
As societies scramble to create and adapt policies to live in a new world order shaped by the virus, each of us as individuals will have to decide what the new normal will be in our personal lives, based on the choices that we can make and that we can make. the limitations we face when living under certain leadership in a certain part of the world. Recognizing that we have a psychic field and that it is important and even essential that our psychic energy receives nourishment from our interactions with others, we must work hard to adapt.
“Necessity is the mother of ingenuity”. We can, and we will come up with solutions for this dramatic change in our daily behavior. Most of human life is constructed. Many of the things we consider fundamental, such as a handshake, are merely constructs that have become normalized over time. Social distancing will bring many of our norms into stark relief so that we can assess them and determine what we can keep, what should go, and what new solutions will be needed.
