Often and in many ways in life, we face significant problems. Some problems will have obvious causes and solutions, but others may not. Those that are mysterious to us may actually have past life origins, requiring us to use past life regression to find and fix the problem, or at least put us on the path to solving the problem. to solve. Here how to use past life regression to solve current life problems is something you should be aware of.
Personal example: fear of the ocean
For as long as I can remember I’ve had a near-phobia of the ocean, not all bodies of water, just the ocean. Swimming, in lakes or pools, was never a problem.
Modern psychology would rightly suggest that a bad experience, fearful suggestion (such as watching the movie Jaws at a young age), or trauma shared by a loved one could be a clear current life source for my anxiety. But I have not had any of these experiences.
It wasn’t until later in life, when I was an adult and exploring spiritual issues, that I came across past life regression and the hypnotherapy technique used to explore one’s past life.
I found a practitioner in Asheville, NC, and went to see her for one of her sessions, which lasted between 3 and 4 hours. When we met, she asked me if there was an issue I wanted to know more about, and I told her about my fear of the ocean.
She told me we could use that as an intention for the session, primarily to find out if the fear was rooted in a past life.
Using past life regression to solve current life problems
Once I was in the hypnotic state, she asked me, “Is your fear of the ocean from a past life?” To which I replied “yes”. Then we explored the specific past life, which turned out to be 1500 years ago in India, along the coast of the Indian Ocean.
In that previous life I was a priest in a medium-sized village along the coast. During my stay there, an illness struck and people died in rapid succession. I was also the father of a daughter.
Fearing for her life, I decided to send her to relatives because I knew there was a good chance I might not see her again. It turned out that I survived the disease, but everyone in the village died or fled. At one point I was alone and overwhelmed by the death and loss of my daughter, who might have survived the disease had she stayed with me.
At the lowest point, I swam into the ocean and allowed myself to drown. The hypnotherapist I worked with was very skilled and an excellent guide, taking me into the past life and keeping me anchored in the present moment. She asked me if I wanted to observe what was happening or experience it again; I chose to observe, but not re-experience, my death.
Once I got out of the hypnotic state, I felt that the fear of the ocean had subsided. And the next time I visited the coast, I didn’t have the anxiety that came from looking at the ocean.
The process of past life regression
The most common process for exploring a past life is hypnotherapy. A past life regression session can last from three to six hours and should be done with a professionally trained hypnotherapist.
It is always important to know that hypnotherapy is a conscious/semi-conscious activity that does NOT take you out of control.
It helps you reach a state where you allow yourself to be open and access the information that you would not normally be able to access with your ego mind.
I have done over seven regressions for various reasons, some to address issues such as my fear of the ocean and others to understand important relationships in my life, such as the one with my father, which turned out to be a repetitive soul connection where, interestingly enough , we have always been father and son, with him as my father.
A well-trained professional hypnotherapist will charge between $300 and $600, depending on the problem or issues you want to address.
Confidence is an important part of the regression process, as is a willingness to open up to the hypnosis process. You may easily enter the hypnotic state or you may stay very close to the conscious surface even if you are willing to be hypnotized.
I am resistant by nature, so I remain aware of my surroundings and the therapist at all times, but still have access to past life information, which comes to me more as memories than part of the experience, which can happen if you can dive deep into the experience. process.
Help with a problem or solve a problem
Sometimes a current life problem is the result of a major past life problem that may be fixable but cannot be completely solved by regression work, especially if you use only one regression to address a significant problem.
My fear of the ocean’s regression helped me identify the why and when of the problem, and alleviate what would be considered an “irrational” fear of the ocean. It didn’t make me want to be a fisherman or work on a cruise ship.
I have faced recurring themes and issues related to certain relationships and my role in life, as a teacher and spiritual advisor, which I have explored during four of the other regressions I have done, all of which have helped me progress .
If you have a current problem, but no clear current life source for the problem, consider using past life regression to find an answer and work towards a solution.
