Immediately speech phenomenon or DVP are audible, relieved voices that are heard during paranormal investigations, seances or at a spooky location, which are spoken directly with the researcher or witness.

DVP is sometimes also called an AVP or audible speech symptoms, but the terms are interchangeable.

A DVP is similar to EPP, which stands for electronic voting phenomenon and refers to voices that are recorded or heard via electronic audio recording or playback equipment. In the case of DVPs, however, no audio or electrical equipment is used and they are heard live, in real time with nothing more than the human ear.

Immediate voice phenomenon is very rare, almost as rare as full appearances, but it is not unusual for people to report that they are laughing, crying or even threatening voices calling out “while they are reportedly haunted ownership.

Although DVP relates to audible voices, the phenomenon should not be confused with voices produced in cases such as the famous Enfield Poltergeist Haunting, when a surly male voices seemed to come from Janet Hodgson. This is not a DVP, as Janet was the instrument of communication in this case, which means it was not immediately. That is why the phenomenon is called “direct voice” or “independent voice” – there is no equipment involved and the voice is not spoken through a third party.

DVPs are rare, but understood activity that researchers could encounter during a paranormal investigation, but traditionally direct voice phenomenon was more closely associated with a unique branch of mediumship. In Séances it was not uncommon for a medium for direct voice to facilitate speech communication.

It was believed that the medium was able to encourage and come up with the Spirit and to communicate, but the voice did not come from the medium itself. Instead, it was heard from the sky for them or elsewhere in the room, and the words were spoken in their own voice of the Spirit.

There are numerous examples of spirits that are able to manifest audible voices. One of the best known matter is the story of the spirit of Sarah Siddon, who is said to halt the Bristol Old Vic Theater. The building is one of the oldest continuously operational theaters in the world, built between 1764-66.

Sarah’s boyfriend hung herself in this theater and her mind would continue to mourn the loss. Employees who work in the theater have reported that they have heard a female voice that they have to ‘get away’, a classic example of DVP.

The key to hearing a DVP during an investigation is to be patient and quiet and to offer a lot of encouragement to the spirits. Call outside and ask all the spirits that are present at an alleged spooky location to use their voice to talk to you. Ask them to use your energy to communicate and don’t forget to encourage them and do not make any demands. After you are still silent and quiet and gave the spirit time to answer.

If you hear a voice or a sound, they thank them for their efforts, because this might have been used to use a lot of energy and showing your appreciation, they have more chance of lingers and try to show you more signs that they are with you.
