It is said that elemental people are non-human entities that are believed to be closely linked to the forces of nature and the four classical elements: earth, water, air and fire. This concept, although originating from the works of European Renaissanceoccultists and alchemists, in particular the 16th-century Swiss Arts Paracelsus, has found its way to contemporary ghost hunt and spiritual practices.
Paracelsus, a key figure in the development of basic theory, suggested that each of the four elements is inhabited by a clear type of basic spirit. Gnomes are said to live in the earth, in water, sylphs in the air and salamanders on fire. According to Paracelsian think, these creatures influence their respective elements and are essential for the balance and health of the natural world.
In modern times, the belief in elemental people is not only sustained, but also evolved, integrated into the practices of Wiccans, practitioners of nature -based religions and ghost hunters. These contemporary enthusiasts often try to call, communicate or stumble in different ways in elemental people, including rituals, spirit boxes and ouija boards, and consider them as guardian spirits of nature that can be potentially malignant if not respected.
Interestingly, the concept of elemental also touches the dark aspects of paranormal encounters, such as the elementary spirit that was believed to chase the Leap Castle in Ireland. Described as a grotesque, half-animal, half human entity formed from negative energy, emphasizes the belief in elementals as powerful forces that are able to influence human experiences in radical and sometimes frightening ways.
What is the difference between an elementary and a spirit?
Elementals, on the other hand, are not human spirits, but are supposed to be natural spirits that exist independently of human souls. Elementals are considered an integral part of the natural world and act as guardians or manifestations of their respective elements with their own different purposes and behavior.
Elementals can manifest themselves in different ways, often influenced by the element with which they are associated. For example, encounters with elemental people can include experiences of poltergeist-like activities, such as objects that are moved or destroyed, aggressive physical interactions, or hearing inexplicable music and sounds that evoke the natural world. These manifestations can in some cases be experienced as playful or naughty, which reflects a cheaper aspect of some elementals.
However, there is a lot of overlap in the behavior of spirits and elementals and the ways in which they manifest themselves. In fact, the reach of activities attributed to elemental people, theoretically, could be performed by human spirits who take their existence. This realization can distinguish between elementals and human spirits seem unnecessary or even random.
Because they are heavily rooted in the classic elements of the earth, water, air and fire, there are the limits of an old conviction that these elements form the essential building blocks of the physical world. This element system has long been replaced by contemporary physics and chemistry, which offer a more complex and more detailed understanding of the building blocks of the universe.
This scientific revolution and subsequent progress have fundamentally changed our understanding of the world, making it difficult to reconcile the existence of elementals with known physical laws and observations. The elements, as understood by old and medieval thinkers, do not correspond to the elements of the periodic system or the forces and particles that are recognized by physics today. This shift in understanding the concept of the existence and the relevance of elementals disputes naturally, beings that are thought to embody these classical elements.
Oxygen elemental?
Perhaps the idea of elemental people can be conceived to adapt to our current knowledge of the physical world. This would require the existence of entities associated with specific elements on the periodic system, such as oxygen, nitrogen or carbon, instead of the wide classic elements of air, earth, fire and water. This modern interpretation would reflect our advanced knowledge of the building blocks of the universe, which suggests a more nuanced relationship between these entities and the physical world.
Of course this idea remains firm in the field of speculation and creative thinking, but in this context an “oxygen elementary” can be conceptualized as a spirit or power that is intimate with the processes and phenomena with oxygen, such as burning, breathing and ozone formation. Likewise, a “carbon elemental” can be associated with organic life, fossil fuels and carbon cycling, playing roles in both cherishing life and influencing climate change.
If we take this idea of modern elementals further, we can start to imagine how they can interact with the environment and human activities, so that ecosystems, weather patterns and even technological processes can be influenced on ways attributed to elemental people, but are based in contemporary science.
By putting aside this theory of periodic elementals, most believers in elemental people can justify the relationship between the entities and the classic elements by concentrating on their fundamental connection with nature. From this perspective, elementals can be seen as metaphors for the fundamental forces and energies that control the natural world, rather than literal beings associated with outdated scientific concepts.
When it comes to ghost yachts, the equipment used, such as EMF (electromagnetic field) meters, mind boxes and temperature sensors, can also be relevant when investigating elementary activity. Researchers can be looking for environmental abnormalities that correspond to the traditional elements related to elemental people. A sudden, inexplicable temperature traces can, for example, be interpreted as signs of the presence of a fire brigade, while inexplicable movements that are detected by motion sensors can suggest the activity of an elementary earth.
