On January 18, NewsNation aired an investigative special with Jake Barber, a former U.S. Air Force veteran, who claimed he had firsthand involvement in the recovery of what he described as “non-human” technology.
While many focused on the accompanying video of a mysterious ‘egg-shaped’ spacecraft, some argued that it did not provide conclusive evidence. However, the video was only a small part of the revelations shared during the special.
Beyond the sensationalism, the whistleblower presented groundbreaking claims.
Going beyond the video
“Just visually looking at the object on the ground, you could see that it was extraordinary and abnormal,” he said. “It wasn’t human.”
He then described his team’s reactions: “It’s unlike anything I’ve ever seen before. I can also tell you that from my team’s response, we all knew we were dealing with something extraordinary.”
It adds even more intrigue, Barber claimed that senior members of the UAP Task Force later confirmed to him that the device was associated with “NHI (non-human intelligence)” and that such incidents were not unique.
‘There is no engine. There was no thermal signature. It became very clear… if you just visually looked at the object on the ground, you could see that it was extraordinary and abnormal. It was… not human.” he declared.
NewsNation sought clarification from the All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO), the Pentagon’s official UFO investigation arm. However, their response cast doubt on Barber’s claims. “[AARO] has discovered no verifiable information to substantiate claims that programs involving the possession or reverse engineering of extraterrestrial materials have existed in the past or currently exist,” said Department of Defense spokesperson Sue Gough.
Does this official denial mean that Barber’s story is false? Or is this another example of embezzlement?
The video wasn’t “earth-shattering,” and the dramatic music and presentation left a lot to be desired. However, we have learned a lot of new information, much of it on camera, from credible witnesses.
Now, several former special forces members broke their silence and shared first-hand accounts of psionic assets and crash retrieval programs. Operating in highly classified environments, these individuals described witnessing extraordinary phenomena and connecting with technology that seemed to transcend human capabilities.
The concept of psionics – paranormal abilities such as telepathy – came into a very interesting point in the discussion. Barber described how psionic operators are crucial for dealing with UAPs.
These operators reportedly form a consciousness-based connection with the objects, allowing interaction and control beyond traditional means. “The craft is not just flown; it is connected to,” Barber explained.
Psionics has been a fringe topic in UFO lore. Now it seems to be gaining attention as an integral part of the phenomenon. This could redefine the way we understand UAP technology and its connection to human consciousness.
Barber said he met Dr. Gary Nolan, a renowned immunologist at Stanford, had visited to discuss the physical effects experienced by individuals involved in the transport of anomalous objects.
Nolan’s findings confirmed that several individuals, including Barber’s team members, became physically ill after transporting an item of unknown origin.
Symptoms ranged from nausea to long-term neurological effects. This confirms previous reports of adverse health effects in individuals who come into close contact with UAPs.
While much has been written about UAPs operating in the air, water and space, Barber inquired about a ground traverse. According to him, the vessel recovered during his operation demonstrated the ability to pass through solid ground, an ability that had never been documented before.
Many viewers interpreted the NewsNation special as a direct challenge to the entities that allegedly orchestrated the cover-up. “We have a highly experienced, effective and talented team currently working to expose you,” seemed to be the unspoken message.
Adding weight to Barber’s claims was the endorsement of Lt. Col. John Blitch, a senior research scientist at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base and a former DARPA project manager.
Blitch stated that he “wholeheartedly” supports Barber’s story and confirmed that “the US has absolutely recovered the UAPs.” This support from such a senior and credible figure reinforces the seriousness of the allegations.
What comes next?
While the video itself did not provide a clear answer, to say the least, it is important to view disclosure as a process and not an event. Since 2017, the conversation around UAPs has evolved significantly. Key milestones include:
2017: The Pentagon acknowledges the existence of UAPs.
2023: Testimonies from pilots and David Grusch’s allegations about secret programs bring renewed attention to the issue.
2024: Figures like Michael Shellenberger and organizations like Immaculate Constellation push for transparency.
Now, in 2025, Barber’s first-hand account. The next logical step is to bring Barber and other witnesses before Congress to testify under oath.
The NewsNation special, despite its shortcomings, provided important new information. The release of the egg-shaped UAP images marks a turning point in the way we approach UAP evidence. The courage of whistleblowers like Jake Barber deserves recognition.
