The grim prison is full of small cells on all its floors, and prisoners would be limited to their cells because there is no dining area or exercise in this fairly small prison in the city center. It was used as a provisional prison, which meant that criminals remained here during the trial, hence the lack of facilities that you would find in a long -term criminal establishment.
In recent years, Grand Old Building began to struggle to go to the requirements of modern police work and in 2017 the doors were closed for the last time. Like most prison, Birmingham Central Lockup has a good part of the ghost stories. Many people have reported that I saw dark shadows run over empty corridors and objects that only move. They have heard the moan of a desperate woman all day and night, as well as the loud of heavy doors, jangling keys and heavy footsteps. The majority of the paranormal activity would take place in cell B23.
